MAINTENANCE

CAUTION

switched off and unplugged before attempting to perform

inspection or maintenance.

Adjusting the cutting angle

This tool

carefully adjusted and aligned at the factory, but rough handling may have

affected the alignment. If your tool

not aligned properly, perform the following:

Miter

angle

Push the carriage toward the guide fence

and tighten the clamp screw on the arm

to secure the carriage in the "back" posi-

tion. Loosen the grip which secures the

turn base. Rotate the turn base

that

the pointer points to

on the miter

scale.

Then turn the turn base slightly to

the left and right to

seat

the turn base

snugly in the

miter notch.

Loosen the four hex bolts which

secure the guide fence using the socket

wrench.

Lower the handle fully and square the

side of the blade with the face of the

guide fence using

triangular rule, try-

square,

etc.

Then securely tighten the

hex bolts on the guide fence in order

starting from left side.

Make sure that the pointer points to

the miter

scale,

does not point to

0".

pointer and adjust it
